Right, Elif Şafak's thing was a bit hard to read. Not the grammar, but the vocabulary. I may have to put it aside a bit and consolidate my Turkish. I've got this Turkish Literary Reader from the Oriental Institute Library, which has short extracts of literary works and a GLOSSARY and NOTES. Saves time and is actually educational. I'm going to use this first.
